The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Diesel dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diesel cracks Yamamoto with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Yamamoto fails with an attempt to clinch.
Diesel lands an overhand right.
Diesel connects with a jab.
Diesel smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Yamamoto closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diesel quickly recovers to half guard.

Yamamoto closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Yamamoto wants to free his trapped foot but Diesel is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Yamamoto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hiros Yamamoto was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and Diesel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Diesel scores with a sloppy right hand. Yamamoto should have avoided that one.
Diesel swats away the attempt to clinch by Yamamoto.
Yamamoto throws a series of punches but Diesel moves out of range.
Yamamoto swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Yamamoto takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Diesel lands with a cross.
Yamamoto shoots for a takedown but Diesel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vin Diesel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiros Yamamoto.

Diesel connects with a nice looking jab.
Diesel cracks a nice hook into Yamamoto's ribs.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Yamamoto. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Yamamoto takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Diesel connects with a body shot.
Yamamoto throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Diesel tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yamamoto is in Diesel's guard.

Diesel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yamamoto manages to get himself to full guard.
