Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashida Kai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Monster. Kai comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Die Antwoord - "Fish Paste" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kai was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.
Smith moves out of range of the body kick from Kai.
Kai moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
It looks like Adam Smith has been cut.
Kai avoids the body shot from Smith.
Kai lands with a kick to the temple. Smith shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fighters circling - Kai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ashida Kai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping body kick lands there for Smith.
Smith throws a series of punches but Kai avoids them all with ease.
Kai throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it.
Kai looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kai!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kai throws the kick towards the body but Smith avoids it.
Smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Kai circles away.
Smith clinches up with Kai and pushes him back against the ropes.
Smith lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kai backwards.
Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kai misses with a two punch combination.
Kai fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Smith tries to score with a low kick but Kai moves his leg out of the way.
Smith avoids the head kick by Kai.
Smith chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kai can pounce on him.

Kai throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Kai needs to keep his hands up - Smith had a free shot at his head there.
Smith takes a swing at Kai's ribcage but misses.
Smith tries to clinch up.
Smith clinches up against the ropes.
Smith just leaning against Kai, taking a breather.
Smith stalling in the clinch but Kai improves position.
Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kai throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kai lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice body kick there by Kai.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Kai moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kai throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smith sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Smith throws a leg kick
and Kai makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Kai lands with an overhand left.
Kai swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.
and Kai counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Smith! He's just covering up as Kai starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ashida Kai!

During a confident post fight interview, Ashida Kai thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
