Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brady Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Sokolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baird misses with a jab, cross combination.
Baird throws a series of punches but Sokolov avoids them all with ease.
Sokolov rushes Baird and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Baird wants to get back to striking at distance but Sokolov won't allow it.
Sokolov connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Brady Baird has been cut.

Baird does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Baird drives through and clinches with Sokolov against the cage.

Sokolov tries to throw a body punch but Baird avoids it by throwing Sokolov back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
