The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikeson lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Andrew Walton has been cut.
Mikeson tries to clinch up
and Walton counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Walton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walton is taking a breather. Mikeson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Let's hope that Walton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Walton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Andrew Walton has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Mikeson wants to clinch
and Walton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mikeson's guard now.
Walton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Walton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mikeson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Walton works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Mikeson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walton on the ground.
Mikeson is trying to stand up here but Walton is controlling him well.
Walton is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mikeson sees it coming and defends easily.
Walton is taking a breather. Mikeson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Andrew Walton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mikeson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mikeson wants to clinch.
Mikeson closes the distance but Walton moves to the side
so Walton counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Walton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Walton slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Walton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Mikeson wants to get back to his feet.
Walton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mikeson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Walton has an Americana. Mikeson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Walton is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Walton hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
