Merriweather has chosen Change as his entrance music. Wanderlei Merriweather is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merriweather on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cerebus. Cerebus obviously looking to wear him down.
Cerebus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Merriweather swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Merriweather misses with a wild combination.
Merriweather swinging wilding here.
Merriweather will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cerebus waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Merriweather.
Merriweather looks for a takedown but Cerebus sprawls well.
Merriweather avoids the head kick by Cerebus.
Cerebus jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Merriweather fails to land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Merriweather checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
No joy there for Merriweather, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cerebus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Merriweather misses with a few strikes there.
Merriweather bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Merriweather has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Cerebus!

Cerebus working to try and regain half guard.
Merriweather looking to finish Cerebus with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cerebus!
Merriweather is working for a guillotine from mount but Cerebus frees his head quite easily.
Cerebus tries to control Merriweather's body but Merriweather pushes him off. Cerebus squirms to his side and now Merriweather has his back!
Merriweather looking for the choke but no joy.
Cerebus is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Merriweather is trying to stick to Cerebus's back but Cerebus is turning into Merriweather. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Merriweather's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Cerebus.
Merriweather looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cerebus is one step ahead there.
Cerebus postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Merriweather is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cerebus, into his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Merriweather trying to control the position from guard on top but Cerebus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cerebus wants to sweep here but Merriweather controlling him for the moment.
Merriweather wants to control from the top but Cerebus keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cerebus looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Merriweather passes into side control.
Cerebus is looking to reverse the position.
Cerebus struggling a bit here.
Merriweather lands a few punches from side control.
Cerebus is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Merriweather is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cerebus has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cerebus gets back to half guard.
