Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rodriguez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Outlandish - Guantanamo . Michael Franklin looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin moves to clinch but Rodriguez breaks away
and Rodriguez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Franklin's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rodriguez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Franklin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodriguez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rodriguez wants to pass the guard but Franklin is keeping the position.
Rodriguez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rodriguez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rodriguez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rodriguez tries to free his leg and advance position but Franklin is retaining full guard.
Rodriguez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Franklin wants to control the position but Rodriguez says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Rodriguez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rodriguez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
