Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Blane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Lyons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trent Lyons will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lyons gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blane to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lyons looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Blane seems to be working for a kimura but Lyons defends the submission attempt.

Blane has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lyons's face.

It looks like Trent Lyons has been cut.
Blane lands a nice shot to the head.

That has opened up Trent Lyons's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Trent Lyons's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
