Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ballswick shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Willis is trying to defend but Ballswick finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Ballswick wants to work for an arm triangle but Willis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Willis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ballswick pulls his head out easily.

Ballswick is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Willis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ballswick.
Ballswick is keen to just control but Willis is a slippery customer.
Ballswick tries to pass to full mount but Willis defends it.
Willis tries to kick Ballswick off but Ballswick keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Willis is trying to get back to full guard.

Willis pushes Ballswick off and gets back to his feet.
Ballswick throws a right hand that Willis ducks under and follows up with a left that Willis also avoids with ease.

Ballswick steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Willis.

Willis clinches with his opponent.

Ballswick works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Ballswick decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Willis, up you get!

Ballswick closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ballswick lands in his opponent's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Willis is on top in guard.

Willis stands up and waves to Ballswick to follow him.

Willis gets caught flat footed, as Ballswick shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Ballswick looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Willis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Willis tries to clinch up but Ballswick circles away and keeps his distance.

Willis tries to keep at a distance but Ballswick has taken the fight into the clinch.
Willis is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ballswick to keep the fight standing.

Ballswick has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Willis regains guard immediately.

Willis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ballswick trying to control the position from guard on top but Willis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ballswick won't allow Willis to get back to his feet.

Willis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ballswick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Willis wants to stand up but Ballswick is controlling him.

and Ballswick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fight stays on the outside here - Willis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ballswick bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Willis is not content to let Ballswick control the position.

Ballswick goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Willis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ballswick's guard! Nice work there by Willis!

Willis is posturing up here but Ballswick has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Willis tries to roll out but it's too tight and Willis has to tap! Slick submission there by Ballswick!
