Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankin Bruisevelt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Connor McManus!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruisevelt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McManus slips a jab and a cross from Bruisevelt.

Bruisevelt closes the distance and clinches.

Bruisevelt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bruisevelt is looking to clinch but McManus is avoiding it.
McManus tries to clinch up but Bruisevelt circles away and keeps his distance.

Bruisevelt has taken the fight to the clinch.
McManus has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bruisevelt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

McManus wants to take the fight to the mat but Bruisevelt manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Frankin Bruisevelt will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

McManus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McManus throws a big elbow that misses.
McManus postures up in Bruisevelt's guard and throws a big left but Bruisevelt blocks it.
McManus wants to control from the top but Bruisevelt keeps moving.

McManus seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
McManus stands and throws Bruisevelt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
McManus throwing strikes but Bruisevelt manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Bruisevelt wants to lay and pray for a moment but McManus keeps working.
McManus sneaks back into half guard.
Bruisevelt wants to stand but his hand is trapped. McManus uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Bruisevelt would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

McManus fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bruisevelt to the ground. McManus is now in Bruisevelt's guard.

Bruisevelt is pushing McManus's head away, looking to escape. McManus manages to hold on to the position though.

McManus tries to score with some ground and pound. Bruisevelt controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
McManus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bruisevelt keeps working.

Frankin Bruisevelt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McManus throws an elbow but Bruisevelt slips to the side and avoids it well.

Connor McManus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
