Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Patino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toa Kiuga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiuga is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wish. Rodrigo Patino has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrigo Patino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toa Kiuga!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patino throws a jab but it's blocked by Kiuga.
Kiuga lands a jab to Patino's midsection.
Patino with a poor takedown
and Kiuga makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Patino tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kiuga swivels and escapes.
Patino changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kiuga tries to avoid it but Patino manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kiuga to the ground. Kiuga escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Patino. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice body punch from Kiuga.
Patino is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kiuga wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Patino checks the leg kick.
Patino with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kiuga counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Rodrigo Patino has been cut.
Kiuga lands an overhand right.

Kiuga drops Patino with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Patino looks back up at him and smiles so Kiuga waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Patino is rocked!

Rodrigo Patino's cut is getting worse.
Kiuga fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Oh Patino is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kiuga digs a good hook to Patino's body.
Kiuga misses with a double jab.
Patino walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Patino limp body while Kiuga jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Toa Kiuga!
