Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Cocoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Case comes to the cage accompanied by Aki & Turo - Mahtisonni. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Cocoa!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Case tries to keep at a distance but Cocoa has taken the fight into the clinch.
Case's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Case is trying to force a seperation but Cocoa has the dominant position.
Cocoa lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


It looks like Justin Case has been cut.
Cocoa is pushing Case up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Cocoa scores with a shoulder strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stalling in the clinch from Case.
Case working hard to break the clinch.
Cocoa gets underhooks to prevent Case's takedown attempt.
Cocoa stalls.

Case escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cocoa misses with an uppercut. Case saw that one coming.
Case fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nice uppercut there from Case.
Cocoa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Case throws a lazy right hand but Cocoa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Cocoa moves into range and clinches up with Case.

Case tries to score a body lock takedown but Cocoa shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Case lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Cocoa.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Case trying to control the position but instead, Cocoa has worked for underhooks and has pushed Case into the cage.
Case has Cocoa pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cocoa manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Case. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Case presses Cocoa against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Case swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Case tries to work over Cocoa's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Justin Case's cut.
That's time! Case's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Case misses with a double jab.
Case loads up on a big right hand but Cocoa slips the punch.

Case gets caught napping as Cocoa dives in and scores a takedown. Case manages to retain guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Case is on top in guard.
Cocoa is looking to stand up but Case isn't so interested in that idea.
Case wants to control from the top but Cocoa keeps moving.

Cocoa is looking for a triangle but Case pushes his legs off easily.

Cocoa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Case can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Case trying to control but Cocoa is working from the bottom.

Case got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cocoa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Case has managed to get both his arms back between Cocoa's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cocoa wants to stand up but Case is controlling him.
Case tries to free his leg and advance position but Cocoa is retaining full guard.
Cocoa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Case postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Case content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Case's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Cocoa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Case trying to control the position from guard on top but Cocoa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cocoa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Case trying to control but Cocoa is working from the bottom.
Cocoa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cocoa has his foot on Case's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Case works his way back into a safe position though.
Case works over Cocoa with some ground and pound from guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Case stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cocoa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cocoa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Case is one step ahead there.

Cocoa is looking to sinch up a triangle. Case throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Cocoa's body to avoid the submission. Cocoa has instead reached around Case's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Cocoa arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Nick Cocoa!
