The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Can throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Takanori lands with a shot to the body.
Can throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Can misses with a takedown attempt
and Takanori counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Takanori lands with a nice body punch.
Takanori scores with a one two! Can had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Takanori counters with a left to the body.

It looks like Tomato Can has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Takanori pounces like a tiger and cracks Can with a vicious hook! Can is down but not out! Takanori follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Lion Takanori was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
