Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Devan Govatos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Ronbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Govatos might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Six Foot Seven. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Govatos takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Govatos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ronbo shoots for a double leg takedown but Govatos sprawls well. He's pushed Ronbo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Govatos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ronbo avoids a kick to the body.
Govatos throws a front kick aimed at Ronbo's knee but Ronbo avoids it well.
Ronbo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ronbo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Govatos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Govatos wants to stand but Ronbo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ronbo has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Govatos off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Govatos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ronbo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Govatos somewhat.
Ronbo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Govatos avoids it really well and circles away.
