Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Agaton Piaskun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Corbett! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Agaton Piaskun! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Corbett.
Piaskun keeps Corbett at a distance using the push kick. Corbett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Corbett tries to clinch up but Piaskun circles away and keeps his distance. Sloppy strikes from Corbett. Those never looked like landing. Corbett throws a right and a left that Piaskun avoids nicely. Piaskun is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Corbett. Corbett fails in his attempt to clinch. Corbett takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Corbett moves in looking to clinch but Piaskun pushes him off. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Corbett throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Piaskun looks to throw the jab but Corbett is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corbett closes the distance and lands a one-two. A combination from Corbett does no damage. Corbett attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. A bone on bone clash there as Corbett blocks the leg kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Piaskun. Corbett thumps Piaskun with a low kick. Piaskun keeps the fight on the outside. Nice body kick from Piaskun. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Piaskun plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Nathan Corbett has been cut. Piaskun attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Piaskun uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Corbett.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Piaskun. Piaskun tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Corbett blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Corbett leaning his opponent against the cage.

It looks like Agaton Piaskun has been cut. Corbett pulls guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Corbett is trying to keep Piaskun in close.
Piaskun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corbett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Corbett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corbett is working hard here to advance position. Corbett is trying to control the position but Piaskun postures up.
We're going to have a standup here because Nathan Corbett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Corbett blocks a head kick by Piaskun.

Corbett lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Piaskun throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Corbett counters with a leg kick. Corbett throws a nice inside leg kick. Corbett has managed to clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Both guys are working to get underhooks. Corbett drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Piaskun lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Corbett pulls guard effortlessly. Piaskun showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathan Corbett dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Corbett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Piaskun sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Corbett defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Piaskun. A momentary lapse in concentration from Corbett enables Piaskun to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Corbett manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Corbett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Piaskun manages to get himself to full guard.
Corbett slips nicely into half guard. Corbett is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Piaskun defends it well.

Corbett trying to control from half guard but Piaskun is working away. Corbett wants to pass to mount but Piaskun is defending the position. Piaskun wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piaskun keeps control of the position for the meantime. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Corbett trying to control the action but Piaskun is working from the bottom.
Nathan Corbett has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Corbett lands with a kick to the temple. Piaskun shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Corbett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nathan Corbett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corbett lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Piaskun shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Corbett as he avoids it easily. Piaskun waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Corbett.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piaskun throws a leg kick which misses Corbett's front leg but catches the back leg as Corbett tries to avoid it. Piaskun goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Corbett misses with a two punch combination.

Piaskun scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Corbett doesn't seem bothered though. Piaskun misses with a left hand and Corbett counters with a nice leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Piaskun takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Piaskun scores with a sloppy right hand. Corbett should have avoided that one. Corbett looks for a takedown but Piaskun sprawls well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Corbett tries to grapple but his opponent circles and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Piaskun needs to keep his hands up - Corbett had a free shot at his head there. Corbett pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Piaskun back to the cage. Corbett follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Corbett misses with a low kick. Piaskun is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Piaskun fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Corbett is out of range. Corbett blocks the body kick.
Corbett is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Corbett throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Piaskun's head. Corbett doesn't succeed with the takedown and Piaskun counters with a takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Corbett wants to control but Piaskun postures up. Piaskun controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piaskun wants to lay and pray for a moment but Corbett keeps working. Piaskun looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Corbett is avoiding damage well.
Corbett tries to buck Piaskun off but Piaskun is having none of it. Piaskun in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. You can see the frustration on Corbett's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Piaskun happy to just control the position for now. Agaton Piaskun has got the better of the ground game so far. Corbett regains half guard there - taking advantage of Piaskun's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Corbett is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corbett is looking to control Piaskun's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Corbett avoid being mounted? Piaskun is keen to just control but Corbett is a slippery customer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Corbett trying to hold on to Piaskun's head to control him but Piaskun postures up.

Corbett feints a jab promting Piaskun to slip. Corbett then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Piaskun slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Corbett moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Corbett tries to bum rush Piaskun with a series of wild strikes but Piaskun uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Corbett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Piaskun. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corbett chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Piaskun can pounce on him.

Piaskun throws a leg kick that is checked and Corbett makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Piaskun really felt that one! Corbett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Piaskun sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. A lazy body kick from Piaskun and Corbett counters with a flying knee. Nice. A bone on bone clash there as Corbett blocks the leg kick.

Piaskun closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Corbett did well to prevent Piaskun getting side control. Corbett avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Piaskun. Piaskun with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Corbett wants to get back to his feet. Piaskun seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Piaskun has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Corbett shoots for a double leg takedown but Piaskun sprawls well. He's pushed Corbett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Corbett. That's going to take a lot out of him. Corbett checks a low kick from Piaskun. Piaskun tries for a takedown but Corbett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Piaskun tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Corbett swivels and escapes. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Corbett, right into the meat.

Corbett closes the distance and clinches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Piaskun jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Corbett walks away with a smile on his face. Piaskun gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Corbett connects with a single shot there.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathan Corbett showed his dominance in that final round. I think Piaskun has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fight is ruled a draw! Nathan Corbett retains his title. It's always disappointing when a championship fight ends as a draw but that's what happens when you leave the fight in the judges hands!
