Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brock Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tyler might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to We Ready - Archie Eversole. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Tyler has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Silva wants to stand up but Tyler is controlling him.
Tyler is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Tyler has managed to sneak the leg through.
Tyler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work.
Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tyler pulls his head out easily.
Tyler is working for a submission of some sort.
Tyler seems to be working for a kimura but Silva defends the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tyler prevents Silva from standing back up.

Tyler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tyler is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tyler wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tyler is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tyler to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.
Tyler frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Tyler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Silva has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Tyler patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva is trying to shake Tyler off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Tyler won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Tyler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Sloppy strikes from Tyler. Those never looked like landing.
Tyler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva's half guard.
Tyler is trying for a kimura here. Silva looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Tyler wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Brock Tyler!
