8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnnie Walker! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez throws a looping overhand right but Walker ducks down to avoid it. Gonzalez throws a big shot that misses. Gonzalez dodges the punch combination from Walker.
Walker misses with a body shot.
Walker avoids the body shot from Gonzalez.
Jesus Gonzalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Walker takes one on the button. A looping hook to the body misses from Gonzalez. Walker does a little dance to reset his feet. Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gonzalez throws a right hand that misses
and Walker counters with a stiff right hand. Walker fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Gonzalez throws a body punch but Walker moves out of range. Gonzalez throws a right hand that Walker ducks under and follows up with a left that Walker also avoids with ease. Gonzalez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Walker manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez misses with a body shot.
Walker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gonzalez was well out of range. Poor timing from Walker. Gonzalez throws a looping overhand right but Walker ducks down to avoid it. Gonzalez throws a jab but it's blocked by Walker. Gonzalez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Walker staying out of range there. Gonzalez swings widly with a right hand
enabling Walker to counter with a crisp jab. Gonzalez stuffs the takedown attempt from Walker. Walker gets slowly back to his feet. Jesus Gonzalez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gonzalez throws a body punch but Walker moves out of range. Walker throws a right hand that Gonzalez ducks under and follows up with a left that Gonzalez also avoids with ease. Walker just misses with a punch to the body.

Gonzalez is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Walker's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez tries to work over Walker's front leg with a kick but Walker checks it. Walker sizes up Gonzalez with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Gonzalez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Walker. Gonzalez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gonzalez. Walker does a little dance to reset his feet. Walker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Walker looks to land a combination but Gonzalez avoids it well. Gonzalez tries to close the distance and clinch but Walker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gonzalez throws a body punch but Walker moves out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gonzalez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Gonzalez is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Gonzalez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez is looking for a sweep. Walker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gonzalez pushes Walker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Walker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Walker working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Walker working the body and head with strikes. Walker is putting a hurting on Gonzalez here, landing some big shots from side control. Walker throws an elbow but Gonzalez slips to the side and avoids it well. Gonzalez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Gonzalez is trying to get back to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Walker lands a decent elbow from side control. Gonzalez defending against the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker working the head with strikes. Walker working the ground and pound. Walker grinds an elbow into Gonzalez's temple. Gonzalez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walker on the ground. Gonzalez prevents Walker from improving position. Gonzalez is looking for a sweep. Walker lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gonzalez down.

Gonzalez is trying to control Walker's posture but Walker avoids it. Walker throws an elbow but Gonzalez slips to the side and avoids it well. Walker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Walker lands a nice forearm strike. Walker is putting a hurting on Gonzalez here, landing some big shots from side control. Gonzalez tries to bench press Walker off him but Walker keeps the position. Walker landing a few strikes.
Gonzalez is rocked! Gonzalez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gonzalez is working to avoid the ground and pound but Walker connects with a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnnie Walker dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Gonzalez walks straight into a right hand from Walker - that's dropped him! Walker jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gonzalez from any more punishment! Gonzalez complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Johnnie Walker! Johnnie Walker spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
