Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Quantum Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Wallen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quantum Saint!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jorge Wallen!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Wallen misses.

Wallen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Saint did well to prevent Wallen getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Saint wants to get back to his feet.

Saint makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Saint fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Saint dives in and grabs Wallen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wallen pushes down on Saint's head and hops out.

Wallen moves to clinch but Saint breaks away

Saint decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Saint closes the distance and clinches up with Wallen, looking for a takedown. Saint pushes Wallen against the cage but Wallen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Saint swats away the attempt to clinch by Wallen.
Saint shoots in looking for a takedown. Wallen tries to sprawl out of it but Saint keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wallen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Wallen with that takedown attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Saint.

Saint decides to stand back up. Saint steps back and let's Wallen get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wallen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Saint shoots in looking for a takedown but Wallen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Saint's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Saint closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Saint lands in his opponent's guard.

Saint decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wallen, up you get!

Wallen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Saint has him pressed against the cage.
Saint is trying to drag Wallen to the mat but Wallen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Saint drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wallen gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wallen has Saint pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Saint manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Saint has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wallen after a bit of a struggle.

Wallen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wallen feints and then cracks Saint's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Saint down.
Wallen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saint tries to avoid it but Wallen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saint to the ground. Saint escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Saint looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wallen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A close second round but Jorge Wallen will probably get the nod - 10:9.
