Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stefan Roosmalen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toma Takahara!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roosmalen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Takahara as he jumps to the side.
Takahara is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Takahara turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Roosmalen has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Takahara.
Takahara lands with a nice combination. Roosmalen backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Stefan Roosmalen has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jab by Takahara.
A jab from Takahara finds it's way through Roosmalen's defenses.
Takahara lands a right hook to the body.

Takahara drives through and clinches with Roosmalen against the cage.
Roosmalen blocks an elbow strike from Takahara.
Takahara scores with a shot to the side of Roosmalen's head.
Takahara putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Roosmalen in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Takahara scores with a hook to the body.
Roosmalen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takahara lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Roosmalen effectively controlling the action here.
Takahara is working Roosmalen over against the cage.
Takahara scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Roosmalen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Takahara tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Takahara just misses with a elbow thrown towards Roosmalen's brow.
Takahara lands a right hand.
Takahara misses with a hook to the ribs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takahara using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Takahara jerks Roosmalen's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Roosmalen drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Takahara goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Takahara because Roosmalen was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Toma Takahara!
After winning the bout, Toma Takahara thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
