Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leon Guerero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shawn Lorence!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerero shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lorence counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lorence trying to control but Guerero is working from the bottom.
Lorence wanted to stand there but Guerero had control of the position.
Lorence should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lorence wants to control from the top but Guerero keeps moving.
Guerero is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lorence stands up and waves to Guerero to follow him.
Lorence lands a nice leg kick that just misses Guerero's sensitive parts.

Guerero with a lazy takedown attempt
and Lorence counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Guerero is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Leon Guerero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lorence shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lorence was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Guerero is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guerero wants to control but Lorence is having none of it.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Lorence has eaten all the pies!
Guerero is trying to escape the mount.

Lorence trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Guerero has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Lorence's lack of action.
Guerero wants to control but Lorence is keeping busy and won't allow it.
It looks like Lorence is going to stand back up.
Lorence slips a nice elbow through Guerero's hands, connecting with Guerero's forehead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guerero avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lorence.

Lorence thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lorence with the ground and pound but Guerero uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Lorence really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guerero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Guerero has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lorence can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Guerero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Guerero is breathing heavily.
Guerero is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lorence wants to stand but Guerero is controlling his posture from full guard.

Lorence has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guerero is proving hard to escape from.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Guerero is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lorence postures up in Guerero's guard and throws a big left but Guerero blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shawn Lorence will probably get the nod.

Lorence swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lorence fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Guerero gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lorence decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Guerero's guard.
Guerero looking for a triangle here. Lorence is fighting it but it looks tight! Guerero pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lorence is tapping out - this one is all over!
