Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Migeal Quintes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Migeal Quintes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Jones! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quintes shoots in but no luck this time. Quintes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Quinton Jones has been cut. Jones misses with a left hand letting Quintes counter with a right hand. Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Quintes is looking to clinch. Jones misses with the combination.
Jones jabs Quintes to the body, keeping him at a distance. Quintes takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Quintes dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Quintes's head and hops out. Quintes tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Quintes fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Quintes is now in Jones's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jones being controlled here, momentarily. Quintes won't allow Jones to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is wriggling around but Quintes manages to pass to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Quintes works his foot free and advances to mount. Jones is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Quintes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quintes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Quintes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Quintes content just to control the position here. Jones's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Jones wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Quintes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Quintes's attempts to control the action. Quintes landing strikes, looking to finish! Quintes controlling his opponent.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Quintes misses with a head shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Quintes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
We're going to have a standup here because Migeal Quintes wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Quintes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Quintes looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones! Quintes looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Quintes throws some wild stikes that Jones manages to avoid easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Quintes wants to finish this one by submission but Jones is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Quintes. Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Quintes controlling from mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quintes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quintes steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jones. That one must have hurt. Jones throws a series of punches but Quintes avoids them all with ease. Quintes misses with a takedown attempt and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Migeal Quintes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones controls Quintes momentarily but Quintes frees himself. Jones wants to stand and escape but Quintes is having none of it. Quinton Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Quintes is aware though and is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Migeal Quintes. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Quintes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
