Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Axel Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Bruens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruens comes into a darkened arena with his song building. River Below kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Axel Stevens! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Bruens! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruens checks a low kick from Stevens. Stevens throws a hook but Bruens blocks it. Bruens checks the leg kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Bruens.
Stevens moves out of range of the body kick. Stevens looks to score with a jab to the body but Bruens is just out of range. Stevens misses with a head kick.
Bruens cracks Stevens with an open hand slap. Bruens moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Bruens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stevens swats him away and circles back towards the center. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bruens is defended easily by Stevens. Bruens fails with the takedown and Stevens counters with a nice body shot. Stevens scores with a jab to the body. Bruens shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bruens has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stevens's face.
Stevens keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Stevens is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bruens has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stevens defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Bruens. A nice elbow there by Bruens. Bruens pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Stevens tries to reverse the position but Bruens maintains control. Bruens working away from the top, dropping strikes. Bruens fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bruens cracks Stevens with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bruens prevents Stevens from getting the reversal. Stevens is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bruens trying to control but Stevens is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bruens working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Stevens is rocked! Bruens postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Stevens bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Bruens and the fight is over!
