Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mick Handsome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mick Handsome has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mick Handsome seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mick Handsome! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roy Gracie! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Handsome misses with a low kick.
Gracie with a lazy takedown attempt and Handsome counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Gracie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gracie dives in and scores a takedown into Handsome's guard. Handsome will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Handsome pushes Gracie off and gets back to his feet.
Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Handsome sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat. Handsome stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Handsome wants it to stay on the feet. Mick Handsome has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Gracie. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Handsome rushes Gracie and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Handsome breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Handsome throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gracie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Handsome is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Handsome sneaks back into half guard. Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Handsome is defending well.
Handsome tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Handsome is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Roy Gracie! Roy Gracie decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
