Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donny Dunphee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Dressler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dunphee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to J. Dilla - Sun In My Face (Instrumental). Dressler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Raptile - Fight Back kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donny Dunphee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marc Dressler! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunphee throws a series of punches but Dressler moves out of range. Dressler slips a jab from Dunphee. Dunphee misses with a wild combination.
Dunphee looks to score with a jab to the body but Dressler is just out of range. Dressler avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dunphee lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Dressler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dunphee. Dunphee thuds a left hand into Dressler's body. Dunphee throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A chopping leg kick lands by Dunphee. Dunphee wants to land a leg kick but Dressler is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dressler takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. A bone on bone clash there as Dressler blocks the leg kick.
Dunphee uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dressler has time to react. Dunphee throws a leg kick that misses. Dunphee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dressler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Dunphee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dressler closes the distance and clinches up with Dunphee, looking for a takedown. Dressler pushes Dunphee against the cage but Dunphee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dunphee misses with a low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunphee is looking to slow Dressler down with leg kicks. Dunphee lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dunphee lands a jab to the nose. Dunphee throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Donny Dunphee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A punch combination from Dunphee misses. Dunphee connects with a body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Dunphee. Dressler does a little dance to reset his feet. Dressler takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Dressler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dunphee.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dressler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dunphee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dressler somewhat. Dunphee just misses with a punch to the body.

Dunphee lands a really nice looking cross but Dressler seems unphased.
Dunphee scores with the left hand. Dressler knows he should have avoided that one. Dunphee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dressler dodges the punch combination from Dunphee.
Donny Dunphee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunphee misses with a few strikes there.
Dunphee misses the shot to the body. Dressler checks a leg kick nicely. Dunphee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dressler takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dunphee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dressler moves away. Dunphee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dressler. Dressler avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donny Dunphee dominated that round. That's time! Dunphee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dunphee jabs at Dressler's body. Dunphee misses with a wild body shot. Dunphee throws a shot from downtown. Dressler moves away and avoids it. Dunphee is looking to wear down Dressler with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Dunphee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dunphee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dunphee misses the jab. Dunphee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dressler moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dressler shoots in looking for a takedown. Dunphee tries to sprawl out of it but Dressler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dunphee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sloppy strikes from Dunphee. Those never looked like landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Dunphee. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Dressler might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Dunphee has got the better of the exchanges. Dunphee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dressler.
Donny Dunphee is winning the standup battle so far. Dunphee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Dressler gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Dunphee misses with a wild body shot. Dunphee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Dunphee misses. Dunphee tries to bum rush Dressler with a series of wild strikes but Dressler uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dunphee throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Dressler slips a jab from Dunphee. Dressler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dressler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dunphee but Dunphee pushes him off and we're back to square one. Donny Dunphee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Dressler. Dunphee misses with a right hand and Dressler counters with a single leg into guard. Dunphee didn't expect that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Dressler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Dressler trying to control the position from guard on top but Dunphee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dressler prevents Dunphee from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dressler passes easily into side control. Nice work. A lull in the action here as Dressler stalls from top position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Dressler has hold of Dunphee's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dunphee seems comfortable defending it but Dressler has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dunphee is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dunphee is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Dressler couldn't care less - he's delighted!
