Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jurijs Dalinsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Main Winreem! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Dalinsh.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Dalinsh. Winreem is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dalinsh connects with a decent elbow. Winreem tries to improve position but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winreem regains half guard. Dalinsh content to control rather than advance. Dalinsh wants to free his trapped foot but Winreem is holding on for dear life with his legs. Dalinsh seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Dalinsh is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Winreem is looking for a sweep. Dalinsh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winreem looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dalinsh trying to control from half guard but Winreem is working away. Dalinsh is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Winreem is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Winreem is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dalinsh pulls his head out easily. Winreem looking for submissions off his back. Winreem looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Winreem looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dalinsh is pressing down on Winreem's thigh, looking to free his foot. Winreem is holding on for now. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dalinsh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Winreem is trying to get back to full guard. Winreem is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dalinsh in particular looking to stall. Dalinsh is keen to just control but Winreem is a slippery customer.
We're going to have a standup here because Jurijs Dalinsh wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Winreem looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dalinsh shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice strikes from Dalinsh there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Dalinsh there. Winreem is defending against the submission attempts here by Dalinsh.
Dalinsh is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Winreem tries to roll over but Dalinsh keeps him under control. Ground and pound from Dalinsh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winreem looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dalinsh escapes and gets back to his feet. Dalinsh has taken the fight to the clinch.

Winreem misses with a takedown attempt and Dalinsh counters with a head kick. That will keep Winreem thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dalinsh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Winreem's half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dalinsh controlling the pace. Dalinsh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jurijs Dalinsh dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dalinsh decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Winreem actively working from the bottom here. Winreem looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dalinsh trying to pass the guard but Winreem defending well. Dalinsh slips a nice elbow through Winreem's hands, connecting with Winreem's forehead. Dalinsh wants to pass the guard but Winreem is defending well. Winreem looking for submissions off his back. Winreem is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalinsh is trying to control the action in half guard but Winreem is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dalinsh content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Dalinsh passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Winreem! Winreem is trying to reverse the position but instead Dalinsh has taken his back - oops! Winreem preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Dalinsh. I really don't envy Winreem right now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Winreem manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dalinsh's guard. Nice work there by Winreem.
Winreem stopping the sweep attempt from Dalinsh. Dalinsh looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dalinsh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winreem prevents Dalinsh from getting back to his feet. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Winreem's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Dalinsh working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Winreem. Winreem is in close to Dalinsh's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dalinsh throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Winreem throws a big right hand that misses. Winreem stops Dalinsh from standing up. Dalinsh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Winreem is one step ahead there. Winreem scoring with some ground and pound. Dalinsh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jurijs Dalinsh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Winreem is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Dalinsh wants to stand and escape but Winreem is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winreem missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winreem is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Winreem lands a couple of decent looking shots. Dalinsh tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dalinsh is working hard here to advance position. Winreem drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Winreem as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Dalinsh screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Winreem! Nice submission victory there!
