Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Asiong Salonga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norifumi Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto throws a head kick that half lands.
Yamamoto leaves Salonga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Salonga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yamamoto is fending him off so far but Salonga persists. Nope, Yamamoto circles away and we're back to standing.
Norifumi Yamamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yamamoto tries a head kick but it misses.
Yamamoto throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Salonga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yamamoto is in Salonga's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Yamamoto is pushing down on Salonga's leg trying to pass to half guard. Salonga is fighting to maintain full guard but Yamamoto has managed to sneak the leg through.
Yamamoto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Salonga is just riding it out for now. Yamamoto eventually gives up the hold.
Yamamoto seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Salonga is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Norifumi Yamamoto!
