Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Uriel Verrus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Romy Diaz! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz slips under a jab from Verrus. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Verrus is defended easily by Diaz. Diaz throws a right and a left that Verrus avoids nicely. Diaz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Verrus.
Diaz loads up on a big right hand but Verrus slips the punch. Verrus blocks a jab. Decent striking displayed by Diaz there. Diaz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Diaz lands a right hook to the body.

Diaz's corner calls for a 1-2. Diaz obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz misses with a hook. Verrus ducked under it nicely. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Uriel Verrus. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Verrus, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
