Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ken Kimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Mox!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mox gets a double leg takedown into Kimura's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kimura is trying to keep Mox in close.
Mox is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mox works over Kimura with some ground and pound from guard.
Mox is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kimura pulls Mox in close to his closed guard and prevents Mox from doing any damage or advancing position.

Ken Kimura has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kimura displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mox.

Kimura dives in and scores a takedown into Mox's guard.
Mox is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kimura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mox does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kimura is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Mox is looking to improve his position.

Mox keeps control of the position for the meantime.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Nice sprawl there from Kimura as Mox shoots in.
Kimura closes the distance and clinches up with Mox, looking for a takedown. Kimura pushes Mox against the cage but Mox circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mox tries to buck Kimura off but Kimura is having none of it.

Kimura decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kimura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mox pinned against the cage. Mox gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kimura misses the shot to the body.
Kimura misses with a takedown attempt - Mox sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mox shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kimura is trying to defend but Mox finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ken Kimura will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We're going to have a standup here because Ken Kimura wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mox.

No joy there for Kimura, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Kimura is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kimura tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mox sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kimura somewhat.

Kimura shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mox's guard.

Mox is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Kimura is trying to control. Mox wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Kimura sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mox's guard.
Mox is looking for a sweep. Kimura is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kimura wants to control but Mox is keeping him busy.
Kimura wants to stand up but Mox has a hold of him and won't allow it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Kimura is going to stand back up.
Mox moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ken Kimura will probably get the nod.
That's time! Kimura's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Mox winds up and cracks Kimura with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kimura manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kimura is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Mox frees his head nicely. Oh but Kimura has switched to an armbar! Mox is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
