Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robyn Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damage comes into the arena with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ysdbj-WzvI blaring out of the sound system. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ultimate Damage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Robyn Silva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and clinches.

Silva gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Silva gets to his feet - Damage follows without any prompting.

Silva takes the fight into the clinch.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Damage. Damage gets slowly back to his feet.
Damage takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Damage fails with the takedown.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Damage tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Robyn Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Silva forces Damage back against the cage and clinches.

Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Damage regains guard immediately.
Silva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Damage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Robyn Silva.
Damage throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Damage on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Damage doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Damage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Silva pulls guard successfully.
Damage stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Damage decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Damage gets tackled into the cage by Silva. Silva maintains the clinch.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Silva misses with an elbow over the top.

Silva works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Damage is trying to keep Silva in close.
Silva wants to stand but Damage is controlling his posture from full guard.
Silva won't allow Damage to sweep him here.

Silva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Silva postures up.
Damage looking to control but Silva passes into half guard.
Damage wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva tries to stand and escape but Damage is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Damage flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Damage is defending against the submission attempts here by Silva.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robyn Silva dominated that round.
That's time! Damage's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Damage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Silva moves into the clinch successfully.

Silva is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Damage can't fight it off and eventually Silva manages to take the fight to the floor. Damage looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Damage manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Damage in his guard.

Damage preventing the sweep.
Damage prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.
Robyn Silva has got the better of the ground game so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Damage prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.
Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Damage wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Silva has his foot on Damage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Damage works his way back into a safe position though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Damage tries to throw a body punch but Silva avoids it by throwing Damage back against the cage.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. Damage has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Silva moves into range and clinches up with Damage.
Silva tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Silva connects with a nasty looking knee right to Damage's face.
Damage is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva tries to land knees in the clinch but Damage avoids the damage to the body.
Damage gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Silva.
Silva stalling.

Damage wants to get back to striking at distance but Silva won't allow it.
Silva misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Damage.
Damage tries to pull guard but Silva forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Silva is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Damage tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Damage takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Silva drives through and clinches with Damage against the cage.
Damage working aggressively here.
Come on Silva - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Damage tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ultimate Damage. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Silva manages to pull guard.
Damage might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Damage decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silva, up you get!
Horrible takedown by Damage or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Damage drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Damage stands up and beckons Silva to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Damage doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Damage.
Damage has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robyn Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Silva pushes Damage up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva stalls.

Silva has Damage pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Damage tumbling to the mat - Silva dives into Damage's guard.
Damage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Damage won't allow Silva to get back to his feet.
Damage passes Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Silva is trying to stand up here but Damage is controlling him well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Damage wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Damage is working hard here to advance position.

Silva wants to get back to full guard but Damage has passed into side control.

Damage decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet.
Damage is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ultimate Damage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Damage misses the body punch

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch.
Silva will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Damage up against the cage.
Damage wants a takedown but no success here.
Damage has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Ultimate Damage has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Silva wants to hold on but Damage pushes him away.
Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Silva is squirming around, avoiding Damage's attempts to control the action.
Silva tries to lock up and control but Damage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Damage looking for a guillotine from mount but Silva is having none of it.
Robyn Silva is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Silva tries to hold on but Damage pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Robyn Silva.
Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
