Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serra throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coelho tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Serra is in Coelho's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Serra passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Serra works to advance to full mount. Coelho defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Serra is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Coelho is surviving well by controlling Serra's body position as best he can.

Serra has hold of Coelho's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Coelho manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Serra is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Coelho can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Serra has control of Coelho's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Coelho regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Serra tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Serra's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
