Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Albert Ashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Drunk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albert Ashton!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, The Drunk!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ashton scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Drunk keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Ashton is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ashton works his foot free and advances to mount.
Drunk wants to hold on but Ashton pushes him away.
Drunk is desperately trying to improve his position but Ashton has a good base and remains in mount.

Ashton looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Ashton throws a wild left hand from mount and Drunk manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
Drunk moves into full guard.
Drunk not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ashton is pushing down on Drunk's leg trying to pass to half guard. Drunk is fighting to maintain full guard but Ashton has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ashton is looking to advance position but Drunk won't allow it.
Drunk is trying to stand up here but Ashton is controlling him well.

Drunk manages to get to full guard.

Drunk looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Drunk thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Drunk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ashton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ashton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Drunk has his foot on Ashton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ashton works his way back into a safe position though.

Ashton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Drunk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ashton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Drunk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The strikes coming from Ashton are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ashton fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Ashton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ashton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ashton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Drunk manages to get back to half guard.
Drunk regains full guard. Nicely done.
Ashton passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ashton has hold of Drunk's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Drunk seems comfortable defending it but Ashton has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Drunk is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Drunk is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ashton couldn't care less - he's delighted!
