And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Ibragimov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ibragimov moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ibragimov lunges at Hood with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hood's hand.
Hood stuns Ibragimov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Hood gets a clinch.

Hood escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hood.
Ibragimov looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ibragimov takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ibragimov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hood digs a good body shot into Ibragimov's ribs.

Hood misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ibragimov.

Hood closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hood escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ibragimov cracks Hood with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ibragimov lands with a hook. Hood tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Nice uppercut there from Ibragimov.
Hood walks into a jab.

Hood closes the distance and pushes Ibragimov back into the cage.

Hood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ibragimov. Hood does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hood cracks Ibragimov with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ibragimov looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hood finish him?

It looks like David Ibragimov has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hood weaves into range and cracks Ibragimov right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Ibragimov goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Hood is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
