Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jaques Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy LaPlaguea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaques Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy LaPlaguea!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaPlaguea throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Armstrong.
Armstrong lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
LaPlaguea moves in looking to clinch but Armstrong pushes him off.
LaPlaguea avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
LaPlaguea closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Armstrong wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Armstrong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of LaPlaguea's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take LaPlaguea's back!
Armstrong somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Armstrong lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Armstrong has got one arm under LaPlaguea's chin. This could be trouble... LaPlaguea trying to control the other hand but Armstrong gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, LaPlaguea has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jaques Armstrong!
