Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Norton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norton's entrance music is Countdown to Extinction by Megadeth. A fine choice. Chuck Smith will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Norton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Smith to the mat! Smith manages to get full guard.
Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Norton's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norton wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.
Smith forces his way into half guard.
Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Norton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Norton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norton wants to work for an arm triangle but Smith is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Smith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Smith lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Smith uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Norton has time to react.
Norton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Norton quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Smith has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Norton celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
