Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Doby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmund Dorrance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doby comes to the cage accompanied by International Players Anthem. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Doby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edmund Dorrance! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doby tries to keep at a distance but Dorrance has taken the fight into the clinch. Dorrance tries a knee to the head but Doby blocks it.
Doby jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dorrance walks away with a smile on his face. Doby gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Doby looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dorrance misses with a low kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Dorrance checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Doby on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Dorrance throws a body kick that misses. Dorrance checks the leg kick nicely there.
Doby digs a good hook to Dorrance's body.
Doby has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dorrance finds it's way round the side to connect with Doby's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Doby lands a slapping body shot.
Shane Doby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dorrance pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dorrance has Doby up against the cage in a clinch.
Dorrance lands an elbow that stopped Doby in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Shane Doby has been cut. Dorrance lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorrance working Doby over with knees to the body. Doby takes a knee to the side of the body. Dorrance lands an elbow inside. Dorrance tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Doby avoids it. Dorrance tries to land knees in the clinch but Doby avoids the damage to the body. Dorrance lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Dorrance tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Doby avoids it. Dorrance lands a nice elbow. Dorrance missing with knees to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action! Dorrance is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Dorrance gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Doby.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Doby tries to work over Dorrance's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Dorrance pushes off an throws an elbow but Doby leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Dorrance throws a knee to the head but misses.

Doby blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Dorrance landing knees to the body.
Dorrance lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Dorrance tries to land knees in the clinch but Doby avoids the damage to the body. Dorrance leaning against his opponent.

Dorrance ducks under a wild hook from Doby.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doby keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A head kick by Dorrance - that's a beauty! Doby is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Dorrance can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Edmund Dorrance! Edmund Dorrance decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
