16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Sol! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arona closes the distance but Sol moves to the side and Sol counters with a takedown into side control. Sol is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Arona has escaped the position, nice work there. Arona can't do much from the bottom here. Arona manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sol lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Sol thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sol is trying to work for a kimura but Arona is defending well.

Arona looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sol not landing any meaningful shots this time. Arona looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sol is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Arona doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sol. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sol is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Sol is nestled in close to Arona, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sol is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Arona wants to get back to his feet. Arona trying to hold on to Sol's head to control him but Sol postures up.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sol connects with a nice short shot to Arona's temple. Sol prevents Arona from improving his position. Viktor Sol showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Sol works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Arona wants to get back to his feet but Sol is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Arona had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sol defends it easily. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sol accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Arona working for a triangle but Sol defends it easily.

Sol postures up in Arona's guard and throws a big left but Arona blocks it. Sol postures up and lands a big shot to Arona's brow. Sol is looking to work some ground and pound but Arona has wrist control. Sol chips away with some ground and pound. Sol landing with the ground and pound. Sol loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Arona keeping moving, preventing Sol from controlling successfully. Sol manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Viktor Sol is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
