Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wladimir Gilkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir comes into a darkened arena with his song building. bispings island kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wladimir Gilkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gilkov darts in and clinches Mir up against the cage. Gilkov stops a takedown attempt from Mir.
Gilkov manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Mir unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gilkov lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Gilkov has hold of one of Mir's legs. Mir is fighting the takedown attempt but Gilkov gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gilkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mir keeping full guard, as Gilkov tries to pass. Mir manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gilkov regains half guard. Gilkov tries to get to full guard but Mir has control of the leg. Gilkov is trying to control but can't.
Mir working the head and body with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gilkov trying to control from the bottom.
Gilkov is trying to get back to full guard. Gilkov is refusing to be controlled, as Mir sits in half guard. Gilkov moves into full guard.
Gilkov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gilkov wants to sweep here but Mir controlling him for the moment. Mir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gilkov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mir darts in trying to clinch and Gilkov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Mir is pressing down on Gilkov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gilkov postures up.
Gilkov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gilkov forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gilkov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Gilkov wants to control but Mir is keeping him busy. Gilkov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Mir is trying to get back to full guard. Gilkov landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mir trying to hold on to Gilkov's head to control him but Gilkov postures up.
Gilkov winds up and cracks Mir with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Gilkov performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Mir moves into full guard.
Gilkov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gilkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilkov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gilkov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Gilkov landing with the ground and pound. Mir controls Gilkov momentarily but Gilkov frees himself. Gilkov pushing down on Mir's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Gilkov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mir with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Gilkov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mir! Gilkov working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mir turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gilkov off and cradles Mir's limp body as Gilkov celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Wladimir Gilkov!
