Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Harry Kalas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Can Pickled Eggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is I Abstain, Converge. Harry Kalas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Kalas! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Can Pickled Eggs! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalas tries to clinch up but Pickled Eggs circles away and keeps his distance. Harry Kalas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kalas gets a clinch. Kalas ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kalas no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Kalas throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Pickled Eggs wanted to stand there but Kalas had control of the position. Kalas looking for a sweep. Not yet Kalas, not yet. Kalas had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pickled Eggs is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kalas Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pickled Eggs's back instead. I really don't envy Pickled Eggs right now.
Kalas has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pickled Eggs has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Pickled Eggs looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalas working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Kalas looking for the RNC. Pickled Eggs defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pickled Eggs wants to control his opponent's hands but Kalas gets his hands free. Pickled Eggs breaks Kalas's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kalas keeping full guard, as Pickled Eggs tries to pass. Kalas doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kalas keeping moving, preventing Pickled Eggs from controlling successfully. Kalas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pickled Eggs. Pickled Eggs trying to control but Kalas is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kalas scores with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pickled Eggs circles away. Kalas tries for a takedown but Pickled Eggs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kalas is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kalas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pickled Eggs is fending him off so far but Kalas persists. Nope, Pickled Eggs circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harry Kalas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kalas is breathing heavily. Kalas slips a jab from Pickled Eggs. Kalas tries to clinch there but Pickled Eggs circles away.
Kalas shoots for a double leg takedown but Pickled Eggs sprawls well. He's pushed Kalas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kalas avoids a kick to the body.
Pickled Eggs slow jab from Kalas misses its intended target. Kalas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pickled Eggs is fending him off so far but Kalas persists. Nope, Pickled Eggs circles away and we're back to standing. Pickled Eggs throws a hook but Kalas avoids it easily. Pickled Eggs misses with a wild body shot. Pickled Eggs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kalas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pickled Eggs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kalas.
Kalas fails to land the takedown. A clash of legs there as Kalas blocks the low kick. Pickled Eggs pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kalas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pickled Eggs.
Kalas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pickled Eggs paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kalas fails to land the takedown. Kalas fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kalas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kalas feints and as Pickled Eggs raises his hands in defense, Kalas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pickled Eggs controls Kalas momentarily but Kalas frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Kalas dominated that round. That's time! Kalas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kalas fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A big left from Pickled Eggs misses. Kalas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Pickled Eggs is working to get back to half guard.
Poor strikes thrown by Kalas there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kalas jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pickled Eggs manages to avoid the submission attempt. Pickled Eggs wants to control but Kalas postures up. Pickled Eggs tries to improve position but can't. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pickled Eggs is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kalas off and has taken his back! Kalas rolls, trying to escape but Pickled Eggs keeps control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pickled Eggs is trying to control but Kalas is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Kalas bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Kalas stands and throws Pickled Eggs's legs to the side, diving into side control. Pickled Eggs can't do much from the bottom here. Kalas tries for a kimura but Pickled Eggs is defending well. Pickled Eggs manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kalas seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kalas is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Pickled Eggs has managed to free his arm - good work. Kalas works his way into side control. Kalas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kalas tries to advance to mount but Pickled Eggs denies him. Pickled Eggs is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalas throws an elbow but Pickled Eggs slips to the side and avoids it well. Kalas throwing shots but missing, from side control. Kalas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kalas tries for a kimura but Pickled Eggs is defending well. Kalas wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pickled Eggs, who protects the arm well. Kalas in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pickled Eggs knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pickled Eggs is looking to regain half guard here but Kalas keeps moving and retains side control. Kalas moves into full mount! Pickled Eggs keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kalas is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Pickled Eggs is forced to tap! Great finish!
