Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tj Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Thomas.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thomas. Rizzo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thomas pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rizzo looks to land a right hand but Thomas moved out of range.
Thomas throws a hook but Rizzo avoids it easily.

Thomas thows a leg kick but Rizzo checks it

and Rizzo counters with a head kick that drops Thomas to the mat! Thomas scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thomas misses the shot to the body.
Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rizzo.

Thomas jabs Rizzo right on the nose. Rizzo blinks but takes it well.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rizzo.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Thomas, as that shot connected.
Thomas misses with an uppercut.
A lazy left from Thomas finds it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rizzo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rizzo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thomas.
Thomas looks for the body kick but Rizzo saw that one coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Thomas. Those never looked like landing.
Thomas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thomas throws a low kick, looking for Rizzo's leg but Rizzo calmly moves out of range.
Rizzo misses with a lunging right hand
and Thomas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Semmy Rizzo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thomas lands a nice shot to the body.
Rizzo stuffs the takedown attempt from Thomas. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet.

and Rizzo counters with a head kick that drops Thomas to the mat! Thomas scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Rizzo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Thomas.
Rizzo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Thomas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Thomas jabs Rizzo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Thomas misses the jab.
Thomas looks for the body kick but Rizzo saw that one coming.
Rizzo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thomas.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rizzo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Thomas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rizzo.
Rizzo thows a body shot but no joy.
Thomas thuds his right hand into Rizzo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Thomas throws a leg kick
and Rizzo counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Thomas missing with a left hand there. Rizzo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A head kick misses from Rizzo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Semmy Rizzo will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Thomas misses with a wild body shot.

Thomas cracks Rizzo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rizzo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Thomas finish him?

Rizzo is rocked!
Tj Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thomas missing with a left hand there. Rizzo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Oh Rizzo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thomas sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Rizzo's defenses. It connects perfectly with Rizzo's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
