Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jory Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez has chosen disturbed- pain redefined as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz lands a two punch combo.

Rodriguez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it. Rodriguez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Diaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rodriguez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rodriguez's face. Rodriguez staggers backwards, shaken. Diaz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rodriguez moves in looking to clinch but Diaz pushes him off. Diaz scores with a jab to the jaw. Diaz throws a combination that misses and Rodriguez counters with a big head kick but Diaz shrugs it off. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rodriguez takes a jab right on the kisser.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diaz defends it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rodriguez gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Rodriguez is riding his opponent, not letting Diaz buck him off.
