The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cpw just misses with a punch to the body.
Cpw checks the leg kick nicely there.
Thomas throws a big shot that misses.
Cpw swings for the body but Thomas moves out of range.
Thomas takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like John Thomas has been cut.
Thomas rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cpw counters with a low kick, right behind Thomas 's knee.
Cpw throws a poor cross that misses
and Thomas counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cpw gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Cpw wants to get back to his feet.
Thomas throws some wild stikes that Cpw manages to avoid easily.

It looks like Clinical Cpw has been cut.
Cpw is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Thomas thowing shots but they're missing.

Thomas throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Thomas unloads with some shots from mount but Cpw bucks and avoids them well.
Cpw is bucking up trying to escape but Thomas cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Cpw is wriggling around trying to escape.

Cpw blocking the ground and pound.
Thomas lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cpw tries to lock up and control but Thomas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Thomas is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cpw can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Cpw is rocked!
Thomas lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Cpw is still in real trouble! Can Thomas finish him?
Thomas drops a big elbow. That's hurt Cpw! More shots from Thomas and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
