Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jim Dope!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dope doesn't seem bothered though.
Dope fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dope checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tyson, right into the meat.
Tyson takes a swing at Dope's ribcage but misses.
Tyson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dope circles away.
Tyson has a takedown stuffed.
Dope tries to land a front kick but Tyson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Tyson moves into range and clinches up with Dope.
Dope drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tyson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tyson is trying to maintain a safe position but Dope gets an underhook and turns Tyson into the cage.
Dope has hold of one of Tyson's legs. Tyson is fighting the takedown attempt but Dope gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Tyson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dope.
Tyson wants to stand and escape but Dope is having none of it.
Tyson working for a triangle but Dope defends it easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Tyson wants to sweep here but Dope controlling him for the moment.
Dope stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dope got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tyson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dope has managed to get both his arms back between Tyson's legs - danger averted.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dope's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dope showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Dope stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Dope checks a leg kick.
Tyson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dope tries to avoid it but Tyson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dope to the ground. Dope escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Tyson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tyson wants to clinch up but Dope keeps it at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Tyson as Dope shoots in.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That kick from Tyson tenderised Dope's leg. Dope is trying to keep his angry face on.

Dope shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dope showed some decent athleticism there.

Dope seems to be looking for submissions.
Tyson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Dope wants to pass to mount but Tyson is defending the position.
Dope uses his free foot to push down on Tyson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tyson.
Dope scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Tyson?
Tyson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dope pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Dope breaks from Tyson's wrist control and lands an elbow.
It looks like Charles Tyson has been cut.
Dope connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dope lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Dope tries to control but Tyson wriggling away.
Tyson wants to control but Dope is having none of it.
Dope can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tyson is looking to escape.
Tyson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dope looking to control but Tyson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dope looks for a takedown but Tyson sprawls well.
Charles Tyson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Dope shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tyson shoots and misses
and Dope counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tyson thinking.
Dope closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dope wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working.
Dope landing a few strikes.
Jeez, Charles Tyson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Charles Tyson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jim Dope!
Jim Dope is the new heavyweight champion!
After winning the bout, Jim Dope thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
