Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jacory Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Adogadoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jacory Kato has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacory Kato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Adogadoo!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Adogadoo clinches with his opponent.
Kato prevents a takedown attempt there.

Kato manages to break the clinch.

Kato shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Adogadoo is trying to defend but Kato finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kato thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Adogadoo's head.
Kato seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Adogadoo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adogadoo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kato stalling away here and it's allowed Adogadoo to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Adogadoo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Kato is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Adogadoo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jacory Kato.

Kato lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Adogadoo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kato looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adogadoo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Kato is taking a breather. Adogadoo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kato seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Adogadoo for as long as he can get away with.
Adogadoo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Adogadoo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kato lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kato throws a head kick but Adogadoo moves out of range.

That's time! Kato's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Adogadoo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kato avoids it really well and circles away.
Kato shoots in and drives through. Adogadoo sprawls well.

Kato shoots in looking for a takedown but Adogadoo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kato's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kato shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Adogadoo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kato stands and throws Adogadoo's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Adogadoo has eaten all the pies!
Adogadoo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kato is landing with some decent strikes but Adogadoo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jacory Kato overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kato can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Adogadoo is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Adogadoo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kato doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kato manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kato gets to his feet - Adogadoo follows without any prompting.

Kato goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Adogadoo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kato but great work by Adogadoo.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kato, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
