Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jules Kingston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Butter Bean!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kingston clinches.
Bean working hard to break the clinch.
Bean is trying to push Kingston away but Kingston has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kingston lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kingston looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bean with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kingston wants to take a breather but Bean is having none of it.
Kingston prevents Bean from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bean wants to control but Kingston is keeping busy.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kingston lands a nice short elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kingston wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bean keeps working.

Kingston decides to return to a standing position.
Bean fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Kingston shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bean manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Bean keeping moving, preventing Kingston from controlling successfully.
Bean is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kingston is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kingston wants to control from the top but Bean keeps moving.
Bean controls Kingston momentarily but Kingston frees himself.

Bean is working an open guard so Kingston takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bean fails to land the takedown.
Kingston keeps the fight on the outside.

Bean tries to sprawl but Kingston drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kingston is breathing heavily.
Bean trying to control here.
Bean is trying to stand back up but Kingston is controlling him

Bean looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kingston wants to work for an arm triangle but Bean is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kingston prevents Bean from improving his position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kingston is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bean doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kingston.

Bean is trying to stand up here but Kingston is controlling him well.
Kingston wants to control but Bean is keeping him busy.
Kingston prevents Bean from improving his position.
Bean pushes Kingston off looking to stand but Kingston dives back in and keeps control.

Kingston wants to work for an arm triangle but Bean is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kingston trying to control the action but Bean is working from the bottom.
Bean wants to control but Kingston is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bean gets back to full guard.
Bean keeping full guard, as Kingston tries to pass.
Bean looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kingston is one step ahead there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kingston is posturing up here but Bean has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kingston tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kingston has to tap! Slick submission there by Bean!
