The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chambers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Billet is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Billet wants to control but Chambers is keeping busy.

Chambers is working for a submission of some sort.
Billet is looking to control Chambers's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Billet avoid being mounted?

Billet had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chambers is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Billet Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chambers's back instead.

Chambers is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Billet gets his way!

Billet is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Chambers is defending well though. Billet let's go of the attempt for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Jamal Chambers will probably get the nod.

Billet throws a series of punches but Chambers avoids them all with ease.

Chambers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Billet tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chambers wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Billet can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Billet lands an uppercut, right on the button! Chambers tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
