Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Pokraniac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Royale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pokraniac comes into the arena with Tango from Poland blaring out of the sound system. Randy Royale will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Pokraniac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Royale! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Royale tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pokraniac swivels and escapes. Royale shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pokraniac sprawls well. Pokraniac wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Royale gets slowly back to his feet. Pokraniac lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. No luck for Royale with that takedown attempt. Thomas Pokraniac has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Royale. Royale stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pokraniac. Pokraniac cracks Royale with a good jab.
It looks like Randy Royale has been cut. Nice takedown defense from Pokraniac. No joy for Royale on that attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pokraniac tries a head kick but it misses.
A jab from Royale finds it's way through Pokraniac's defenses. Pokraniac misses with a low kick.
Pokraniac closes the distance and pushes Royale back into the cage. Royale tries to score a body lock takedown but Pokraniac shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Pokraniac is pressed up against the cage. Royale has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pokraniac down to the mat. Pokraniac avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Royale looks gassed! Pokraniac moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pokraniac tries to close the distance and clinch but Royale swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pokraniac lands a nice leg kick that just misses Royale's sensitive parts. Royale is trying desperately to land a takedown but Pokraniac is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Royale. Pokraniac throws a head kick that misses. Pokraniac moves into the clinch. Pokraniac tries for a takedown. No joy.
Royale is looking for a takedown. Pokraniac pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pokraniac pulls Royale in to control the position. Pokraniac is looking to stand up but Royale isn't so interested in that idea. Royale trying to control but Pokraniac is working from the bottom. Pokraniac wants to stand but Royale is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Royale throwing strikes but missing. Pokraniac pushes Royale off and scrambles back to his feet.
Pokraniac tries to bum rush Royale with a series of wild strikes but Royale uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pokraniac throws a sloppy head kick and Royale moves out of range easily. An inside leg kick lands from Pokraniac. Royale tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pokraniac sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Royale somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pokraniac feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Royale's calf. Royale stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pokraniac. Pokraniac misses with a head kick.

Pokraniac wants to clinch up but Royale keeps it at a distance. Randy Royale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pokraniac lands with a slapping head kick. Royale will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pokraniac gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pokraniac is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Royale gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pokraniac prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pokraniac ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pokraniac no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Pokraniac seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Royale wants to control from the top but Pokraniac keeps moving. Royale wants to pass the guard but Pokraniac is keeping the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pokraniac wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Pokraniac dominated that round. The cut man is working on Randy Royale's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Royale shoots in for a takedown but Pokraniac shows good takedown defense. Royale fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Royale shoots in and drives through. Pokraniac sprawls well. Thomas Pokraniac has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Royale. A big head kick from Pokraniac and Royale is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Royale is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pokraniac is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Royale is still in real trouble! Can Pokraniac finish him? Pokraniac's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Royale seems to have recovered his senses. Royale is breathing heavily.

Thomas Pokraniac has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Royale throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Royale shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pokraniac as he avoids it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Royale. Thomas Pokraniac is winning the standup battle so far. Royale closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pokraniac circles away. Pokraniac fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Royale. Pokraniac connects with an inside leg kick. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Pokraniac! Royale is out on his feet! Pokraniac rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Royale is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Royale is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Pokraniac!
