These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leo Clarke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Johns!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Clarke misses.
Johns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leo Clarke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clarke throws out a loose jab but Johns uses good head movement to avoid it.
Clarke works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Clarke darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Clarke misses with a looping right.
Johns throws a body punch but Clarke moves out of range.
That kick from Clarke tenderised Johns's leg. Johns is trying to keep his angry face on.
Clarke connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Johns momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johns connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Johns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Clarke takes a swing at Johns's ribcage but misses.
Clarke is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johns sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Clarke pushes Johns up against the cage in a clinch.
Clarke blocking some punches.
Clarke pushes Johns back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Johns.


It looks like Leo Clarke has been cut.
Johns is trying to break the clinch but Clarke has him pressed against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Clarke dodges an elbow strike from Johns.
Clarke blocking some punches.
Johns misses with a short punch on the inside.
Clarke goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Johns misses with a knee to the head.
Clarke lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Johns lands an uppercut.
Johns looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Johns lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Johns lands a hook to the side of the head.
Clarke avoiding damage as Johns throws knees to the body.
Clarke blocks an elbow strike.
Johns misses with some punches.
Johns lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Clarke backwards.
Johns swings wildly with an uppercut but Clarke uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Johns breaks from the clinch.
Clarke throws a hook to the side of Johns's head but Johns sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Clarke lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Clarke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johns's waist but Johns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clarke off to one side.
Clarke lands with a slapping head kick.


Johns is rocked!
Johns slips a jab from Clarke.
Johns is still on wobbly legs! Can Clarke finish him?
BAM! Clarke delivers a spinning backfist that drops Johns like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Spinning Backfist). Leo Clarke!
Our winner, Leo Clarke, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
