The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darwin ducks under a wild hook from Jenkins.
Darwin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jenkins as he avoids it easily.
Jenkins throws a hook but Darwin avoids it easily.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Darwin.
Darwin has hold of Jenkins's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jenkins tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Darwin cranks the arm and Jenkins screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jenkins, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Charles Darwin!
Charles Darwin really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that GTI - 1337 sponsors VERSUS logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
