The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazzard lands a front kick.
Hazzard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Garciea avoids it really well and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hazzard.
Hazzard dips to his left and cracks Garciea with an uppercut!

Hazzard gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from Hazzard.
Garciea drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hazzard gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hazzard is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Garciea is defending well.

Garciea tries for a takedown but Hazzard manages to get underhooks.

Hazzard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Garciea fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hazzard is out of range.

Hazzard shoots in for a takedown but Garciea shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Garciea avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hazzard throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Garciea's head.
Garciea slips a jab and a cross from Hazzard.

Garciea decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Garciea lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Hazzard is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Garciea wants to take a breather but Hazzard is having none of it.
