The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pimentel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Juarez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Juarez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pimentel.
Pimentel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Juarez.
Juarez misses with a body kick.
Juarez throws a low kick but Pimentel moves out of range easily.
Julio Juarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Juarez scores with a head kick.
Juarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
BOOM! Pimentel connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Juarez sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Pimentel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Juarez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Juarez is trying to maintain the position but Pimentel is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pimentel seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Juarez has momentary wrist control but Pimentel slips an elbow through the middle.

Juarez looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pimentel is defending well. Juarez quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pimentel has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Juarez celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

In his post fight interview, Julio Juarez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
