Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Enrique Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, BJ Kenn!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wilson.
Kenn tries to move into range but Wilson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Wilson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wilson looks to land a combination. Kenn sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kenn wants to clinch up but Wilson keeps it at a distance.
Wilson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
BJ Kenn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wilson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kenn at a distance.

Kenn tries to clinch there but Wilson circles away.
Kenn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Wilson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kenn on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kenn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilson as he jumps to the side.

Kenn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wilson circles away.
Wilson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Wilson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kenn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A combination from Wilson does no damage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wilson misses with the combination.
Wilson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kenn shoots in and drives through. Wilson sprawls well.
A jab lands there for Wilson.
Enrique Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wilson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kenn ducks right into an uppercut from Wilson.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kenn has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kenn shoots in but no luck this time.
Wilson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Kenn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Wilson cracks Kenn with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kenn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kenn moves forwards but Wilson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wilson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kenn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilson as he jumps to the side.
Wilson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kenn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wilson circles away.
Kenn needs to keep his hands up - Wilson had a free shot at his head there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wilson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kenn.

Kenn is looking to clinch but Wilson is avoiding it.

and Wilson counters with a left and a right that stings Kenn.

Wilson lands a nice hook to Kenn's body. Kenn takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wilson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kenn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kenn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kenn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kenn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wilson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kenn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kenn is taking a breather. Wilson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Kenn in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Wilson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kenn!
